Where
I'm currently in Xiuning, Anhui, China, which is, in fact, much less polluted than most every other place in this country. Also I've been to Mongolia.
What
I'll be teaching English for the next two years, and thinking about business opportunities. I'm mostly done with this novel I've been working on; also, I've got a couple thoughts for articles running around in the back of my mind. The Ten Book Historical Fiction Series builds in detail in my mind. Also, I thought I wasn't particularly interested in fantasy writing at the moment, but I've now got another novel done, so that's cool.
Previously Completed Work:
- Walker in the Gyre (formerly: The Palace and the Kid)
- Sente (Still sending it out; e-mail for copies if you want one)
- Apocalypse, a quite old end-of-the-world epic novel in three parts, with a Cast of Thousands, originally written as an adjunct fic for the excellent character creation website The Fantasy Powers League. Some characters ÃÂé their creators, all used with permission.
My short fiction took first place in On The Premises' October competition. Woo!
When
Next two years. I'm probably not coming back 'till 2008, given the pathetic size of my salary, but I'm open to suggestions.
